OVERVIEW
(from Goodreads)
Twenty-year-old Bethany Schrock is restless. Her love life has derailed, her faith hangs by a thread, and she is spending the incredibly hot summer days wading through a lifetime’s accumulation of junk at the home of five ancient Amish sisters. About the only thing that holds her interest is the spirited and dangerously handsome Jimmy Fisher–and he seems bent on irritating her to no end.
When the sly old sisters and a guest at the Inn get Bethany involved in running the local soup kitchen and starting a community garden, she suddenly finds herself wondering, Shootfire! How did that happen? Despite her newfound purposefulness, a gnawing emptiness about a childhood mystery continues to plague her. Encouraged by Jimmy Fisher, she will seek out the answers she craves–and uncover a shocking secret that will break her heart, heal it, and point her to love.
Bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher delivers her trademark twists, turns, and tender romance in this delightful and exciting visit to the deceptively quiet community of Stoney Ridge.

 REVIEW
The book reunites the reader with the Schrock family and many of our other loved characters from the first book in the Inn At Eagle Hill series, THE LETTERS.  Rose and Galen are still with us and in love but this time we have different characters in the forefront.
Jimmy Fisher works for Galen training horses, but his mother has different plans for him.  There is a chicken business that needs tending. Will Jimmy give up his dream of horse training or will he keep doing it? He is trying to woo Bethany. He is adorable with his little winks and the endless tricks he pulls. Bethany wants nothing to do with men, period. She has some dark secrets and it concerns a man she thought loved her.  Jake Hertzler continues to be in the back of her mind. He has done some terrible things that are brought to the surface as the story goes on. She can't let go of the bad decisions she has made in the past.  She spends endless hours  trying to make some order of the home of five elderly Amish sisters. A new guest at the inn at Eagle Hill ends up helping those that are on the down side, especially the young adults.
The Amish life is a life of simplicity and that is what the author is conveying in the book.   It doesn't mean that they don't have trials and tribulations . They have hardships just like anyone else. Ms. Fisher shows that they try to make small changes  in their lives without changing the way they believe. Ms. Fisher writes a wonderful and warm book that has characters that appear so real that you feel a connection with them. There are some lessons to be learned from the book. The author did a wonderful job of slipping them in without you realizing it.  Will Mrs. Miracle continue to give advise secretly? Will she continue as Mrs. Miracle or will her real name come out? I haven't read the first book in the series, but the books can be stand alones.  I would suggest you read book one first so you can get some of the background on the characters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.  It's a good, clean and warm book.  So, if you like Amish reads and you want to find out about Bethany, Mrs. Miracle, Jimmy and the others, then grab a copy and follow them through  their everyday simple? lives.

I would give this book 5 FLOWERS.

AUTHOR
Suzanne Woods FisherIn no particular order, Suzanne Woods Fisher is a wife, mother, writer, lifelong student of the Bible, raiser of puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, a gardener and a cook...the latter two with sporadic results.

Suzanne has loved to write since she was a young teen. After college, she started to write for magazines and became a contributing editor for Christian Parenting Today magazine. Her family moved to Hong Kong for four years, just as the internet was developing, and she continued to write articles in a 44-story high-rise apartment, sending manuscripts 7,000 miles away with a click of a key.

After returning from Hong Kong, Suzanne decided to give her first novel a try. For four and a half months, she worked on an antediluvian computer in a cramped laundry room. She didn't even tell her husband what she was up to. When the novel was completed, she told her family at dinner one night that she had written a book. "That's why there's no food in this house!" said her slightly insensitive sons.

Undaunted...Suzanne found a small royalty publisher for that book and wrote three more (all earned multiple). With help from an agent, she has five books currently under contract with Revell. On September 1st, Amish Peace: Simple Wisdom for a Complicated World, a non-fiction book of stories and examples about the Old Order Amish, will be released by Revell. The Choice, a novel about the Amish, will follow on January 1st.

Writing, for Suzanne, is a way to express a love of God and His word. With every book or article, she hopes readers get a sense of what faith really looks like in the daily grind. She hopes they realize that life can be hard, but God is good, and never to confuse the two.
