A series of devastating coincidences, or a mercilessly vicious witch's curse? Jack doesn't believe in coincidences. But he does believe in her, and the terrible mistake he made the day he crossed her. The day his life became a living nightmare. But with the lines so blurred between Jack's terrifying fairy-tale and his own mental diagnosis, can he now still tell which is the true modern-day horror story, and who is the real villain? Now so deluded, so convinced of the curse, is he truly willing to go to any lengths to stop it, even if that means committing shocking and brutal murder?  (from Night Owl Reviews)

MY THOUGHTS
Do you believe in coincidences?  Do you believe in curses?  Jack made the mistake of believing in her, , Eda and then the day he had to evict her. That's when his constant nightmare started, the curse.  Jack doesn't take it to heart until... Jack is caught between a fairy tale and the turmoil in his mind.  He believes the curse that was placed on him by the one he believed in and yet went against.  But can the curse be stopped?  What will it take?  He decides to find Eda and put a stop to this curse but what he finds out may change the outcome.  Jack is being tortured by this curse.  He's determined to end it all but what will it take?  Can Jack do the unthinkable to put peace back in his life?

I had a hard time with this book.  I had to keep going back and re-reading to try to get into what was going on.  There were a couple of scenes that made the hairs stand up on my arms.  The author put you there and put that question in your mind.  Could this happen to me?  The writing was good, but I just had a hard time to get a grip on what was going on..  Was Eda a witch?  Or was it Jack's troubled mind?   There seemed to be a lot of emphasis on Jack's state of mind, which makes you wonder if it wasn't all in his mind. Nothing more.  Just a coincidence of some bad things happening at the wrong time.  Then when the thought of murder came into play, I really got the idea he was  really a troubled soul.   The author gives you the choice, was it a coincidence or a witch's curse?  I would suggest you try it. It just wasn't for me.

I received a copy of this book from the author and Night Owl Reviews and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 3 STARS.
