REVIEW
This book is a work of fiction in the mystery and detective genres. Leonard Townsend lives in Rockport, about 30 miles from Corpus Christi, Texas.
Leonard is a private investigator.
Leonard is a private investigator.
While Leonard Townsend is planning his trip to the Gulf of Mexico, an attractive young woman named Ellie shows up. He was looking forward to his trip. It seems that Ellie's new husband, Johnny, disappeared in the night while they're on their honeymoon. . Len isn't looking forward to helping her, but he feels sorry for her and finally agrees. As Ellie is telling Len a little of the background, he is thinking that he wishes he was already gone on his trip. He just wants to be on his sailboat on his way to the Gulf for some fishing and R&R. This looks like one mess of a case what with a brief romance and a fast marriage. She is more than willing to answer all of Len's questions, but Len has his doubts.Poor Len is shaking his head thinking, What have I got myself into? Very well written and easy to follow. You don't have to keep re-reading to get where the story is going. The story is fast paced and funny in places. This is the second book in a series. This book is quite different from most mystery/detective stories out there. Nice for a change. The first being DEADLY DIAMONDS. This book is the sequel of Len's travels and escapades. A third book is in the works. Is this a story of foul play? Did Ellie have anything to do with her newlywed husband.? Maybe her husband had second thoughts? Will Johnny turn up alive and well? I guess you will have to read the book for the answers. There's so much more as you turn the pages and try to figure out the mystery. Grab a copy and perhaps a copy of the first book, DEADLY DIAMONDS and follow Len on his detective escapades.
I received a complimentary copy of DISAPPEARING HONEYMOONER from the author, Pamela Troutman and OutSkirts Press for my unbiased view of the book. No other compensation took place.
I would give this book 5 STARS.
