CAPTAIN NO BEARD
AND THE AURORA BOREALIS
by
Carole P. Roman
INTRO
Captain No Beard and his crew of loyal pirates heave anchor for another
adventure, this time in the icy waters of the Arctic. Captain No Beard's
steering a course due north, sailing by the light of the North Star.
Everyone on the crew wonders what the captain's up to, especially as he
gets embarrassed when they ask. The crew discovers he plans to steal the Aurora Borealis, the
beautiful northern lights that brighten the arctic sky. The series presents real-life problems
in an imaginary setting and encourages discussion with both parents and
educators.

REVIEW
Ms. Roman has done it again. She has written another wonderful series which uses siblings and stuffed animals in order to teach some wonderful lessons. I've read all of her books and they just seem to get better and better each time. One thing that I particularly like is that there is always a lesson behind the story. This, for young children is so important. Their learning should begin early in their years and Ms. Roman does just that. I have to say, I'm far from being young but I just love these books. Ms. Roman always seems to keep the child's attention. As we all know, a child's attention span can be rather short. The adventures and the wonderful illustrations allows the child to use his or her's imagination and at the same time, they are learning things. The book centers on the focus on solving real life problems in an imaginative setting.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the author, Carole P Roman and Outskirts Press for my view of the book. No other compensation took place.
I would give this book 5 STARS.
