This was to be a front for the true purpose of him being in the city.

Will is prepared for anything that might happen. A nosy, red haired woman named Julie Jan Parham (aka Julie) isn't quite prepared for.
Will finds Julie to be blunt, brazen and totally loyal to her cause refreshing even those he was used to the meek, docile Chinese women. He just isn't quite sure how to handle Julie.
He's worried about the questions she is going around asking. He's afraid she may end up dead.
Julie is raised as a lady, with all the luxuries money could afford in Hong King. Jane's friend, Su Mi was supposed to be married to an honorable man when they arrived in California. Julie Wanted a Man, Su Mi Wanted a Man. Was Will the man for either of them. Will Will continue his Silken Angel Saloon? Will romance develop between Julie and Will? The author wrote a good book with a plot that was a lesson. These kind of practices still go on in this world, and this book brings it out to those who don't know this.
