REVIEW 21 year old Sophia Montgomery had been unable to speak since an attack on her and her mother, that killed her mother. Her grandmother, whom she and Sophia had been separated from, makes an offer to come back to the family home. Sophia moves in with her grandmother. There is a detective, Julian Frazier who is working very hard to find out what happened when Sophia's mother died. Since Sophia doesn't talk, she is causing Julian's job to be a lot harder than it should be. She doesn't mean to but she can't tell him anything that she might know. It doesn't help that Julian is undeniably attracted to Sophia. Julian hides his feelings for the trauma victim. He, instead, focuses on finding the killer or killers.Could it be possible that the clues are right there? Like you can't see the forest for the trees. Where are those clues that are so visible? Sophia's mother had a quilt with a "Special" quilt design. Is it possible that the quilt has the answer? What will happen when the truth comes out? Will Sophia be able to speak again? I was given a complimentary copy of HIDDEN IN THE STARS from the author, Robin Caroll and Litfuse Publicity Group for my view of the book. No other compensation took place. I would give this book 4 STARS.
