Every day, Rosa walks to the bus for a boring bus ride. But not this week! Each day she meets a new wild and crazy animal that sends her to the back of the bus just because she isn't as wild as they are. She is not amused by their behavior and the animals seem to get meaner each day.

Will she have the courage to stand up for herself in the presence of the king of all beasts? Find out and read Little Rosa!

Mr. E's picture book Little Rosa is based on the American Hero, Rosa Parks. Written to give young children a conceptual understanding of the Rosa Parks story, Little Rosa is a great introduction to concepts related to the American civil rights movement. And as a book with an African-American female protagonist, it's an important addition to any home or school library

MR E was born in Tempe, Arizona and raised by a family of highly intelligent bears. He has taught school for over 20 years and loves puppets, magic and superheroes. He has just adopted a baby unicorn and enjoys spending his days chasing his unicorn around the house. He sometimes regrets adopting a unicorn, but overall finds it tons of  fun.  This is Mr. E (Brandon Edwards) at age six!

MY THOUGHTS
What a wonderful way to introduce to children and even some adults the Rosa Parks story.   She indeed was a remarkable woman.  It helps children understand the civil rights movement and Ms. Parks' role in it. She became the mother of the American Civil Rights Movement.  Back then and now, even more so NOW, children need to learn of American heroes and the part they played in our history, everyone's history.  We need to step back and understand that our children need to know our history, everyone's history and I feel they are not getting that.  We are destroying our history for ourselves and our children and their children.  With stories like this it's easier for children to understand and want to learn.  We definitely need more books to teach our young ones value, consideration, history and that we are ALL God's children!  Wonderfully written and illustrated.

I was given a copy of this book from Mr. E and voluntarily decided to review it.  All  opinions are my own.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
