BOOK BLURB:

Pepper Neely is no stranger to dangerous situations. In The Supernatural Pet Sitter: The Magic Thief, the young gnome defeated an evil witch who was stealing magic from the Familiars that Pepper took care of. She wouldn’t have survived without the intervention of a pack of werewolves, who endured painful, fiery spells to save Pepper’s life.

Now Pepper is determined to repay the werewolves for their sacrifice, no matter what it takes. She decides to break the centuries-old curse that keeps them in wolf form. At first she keeps her plans a secret, but it’s not long before Pepper realizes she will need all the help she can get to end this curse. Magic is everywhere as enemy witches cast dangerous spells to stop Pepper.

Pepper and her family must trust the local witches and work together with them to fend off the deadly spells, find the curse, and break it—before the hostile witches get the best of them.

WHAT I THINK!
In the first book, THE SUPERNATURAL PET SITTER: The Magic Thief, Pepper Neely would have survived without the help of the pack of werewolves.  They endured horrible spells to save Pepper.  So Pepper is now wanting to do something for the werewolves who saved her.  She cares not what she has to do, she just knows she must.    She plans to destroy the age old curse that has kept the werewolves in their present form of wolves.   Pepper keeps this quiet, not intending on involving anyone else in her plan but soon realizes she can't do this by herself.  She needs help since there is evil magic all over with bad witches who are casting spells to prevent Pepper from succeeding.   Pepper and her family know the need the help of the good local witches to stop the spells,  destroy the curse before it's too late.

The author presents this for young readers but it was a fun read for me as well.  I found the author gave Pepper a very loving family that was behind her all the way.  This gave a good family basis for young readers. You also get the typical sibling rivalry and the back and forth between them.  This is what happens in families., but they are there for each other no matter. It also shows how it's important to help others and be thankful for their help.  Some good lessons in this story.  The story was written simply, very easy to understand for young readers and the characters were fun and exciting. There is enough suspense in the plot to keep the young readers enticed, having them get that little bit of excitement of 'what is going to happen to Pepper?'   The book moves along at a steady pace. This is a great adventure, fantasy, magical book with gnomes, good and bad witches, werewolves and Pepper and her family.  A great teaching and fun read.  If you haven't read the adventures of Pepper in the first book, be sure to do so.  Each book is a stand alone, though.
