 MY THOUGHTS
 Ms. Matthews brings you a love story. It will lighten your heart,  but it's so much more. It not only will lighten your heart but it will add suspense to it too.  There is a lot of action in this novel.  You can't help but let your heart go out to Alexa O'Brien.  She's just trying to get away from her fiance who has been extremely abusive to her.  She's just trying to get away and stops to get gas.  Now her life is changed in a dangerous way.  What she sees at that gas station is chilling.  Now she's in police custody to protect her against the mob.   She's the witness who can put Montreal's mob boss in jail.
 But it seems the law can't protect her so she's on the run trying to hide and stay alive.  A Lieutenant has been assigned to keep her safe.  He's not interested in watching over this woman, but he'll do his job. As they try to stay one step ahead of danger, it comes out that Alexa is hiding something and she's in deep.  Not just being a witness against the mob but much more.  Can they stay one step ahead and stay alive?   They may have to rely on each other to do that and in doing so, will they grow to find love?  SO if you love twists and turns, suspense, romance and danger, don't miss out on this book.  Maybe you'll think the next time you do a good deed.  You know what they say, "No Good Deed goes unpunished."
