ABOUT THE BOOK

Is it possible to marry the wrong man? Rebecca Rice was looking forward to a quiet life and a full stomach by becoming mail-order bride to her shopkeeper intended, Mr. Fordham—until the justice of the peace calls him Thaddeus, not Theodore, proceeded by the title Deputy. Rebecca would never marry a lawman like her father, so an annulment seems in order—and fast, since Rebecca’s true intended is impatient to claim her as his own. But when the legalities take longer than expected, Rebecca wonders if Tad Fordham wasn’t the right husband for her all along. . . .

MY THOUGHTS
Talk about confusion.  Names being confused causing the wrong Rebecca to marry the wrong cousin.  Now that's confusion.   This book is about lightning quick marriage, mail order style. The setting is Ruby City, Idaho, ole' West mining town in 1896.  The author gives us characters, all with their own personalities.  You grow to love some and some not so much. This was an interesting and fun read with some humor put in. You won't want to put this book down and it is a quick read so the pages turn quickly.
Rebecca Rice is so happy to wed her intended husband, Theodore Fordham, but when he is called Deputy Thaddeus Fordham, her heart stops. What's going on?  Theodore is supposed to be a shop keeper. Who is this Deputy Thaddeus?  Are they one in the same?   Well it seems they have married the wrong people with names that are alike.  Seems like Tad and Ted are cousins who no longer have any contact with each other. Tad was supposed to marry Rebekah Rhys.  Boy, talk about a mix up of names.   Tad and Rebecca both want an annulment and fast!  But time isn't on their side.  Is it possible these two were meant for each other after all?  This is a story that will warm your heart and you'll feel like a silly romantic at times.  You will remember throughout the book that kiss after being married. WOW!  Will the memory last?  SO if you like a good ole' western historical romance with a little tension, kisses that can't be forgotten, humor and strong characters than give this a try.  You won't regret it.  Well written with characters you won't forget. I can always tell when a book is good for me is when I'm done, I'm wanting more.  And I want more!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to review.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
