MY THOUGHTS
The author gives the reader, families with loads of problems, violence and scandal. That about covers it. That is everyday life, isn't it. Dysfunctional families, they're everywhere these days.It brings you into a possible reality situation from the first few pages. Small town's have lots of hidden secrets, some of them dark and this town is no different. A fiery crash, an unidentifiable body is Officer's Laura Mori first investigation. The owner of the care is Kent Jameson, a well known author. Jameson is in shock, he thinks the driver was Lucy, his 17 year old daughter. It ends up the driver wasn't Lucy but Kyra, a runaway. While on the streets of Portland more than one "lost girls" seem to have vanished into thin air. Kyra is somehow linked to these missing girls. Now questions arise, what was Kyra doing at the Jameson estate and why in the world was she driving his car? Further investigation reveals the brake lines were cut. Who did it and why? Is it possible that Portland has a serial killer at large? The author keeps the suspense building page by page and the story has a grip on you so you can't let it go. Lucy Jameson has daddy wrapped around her little finger and is quite spoiled. She rebells at everything. The girl driving the care was Lucy's friend. The author gives you Laura, the investigator that you can follow as she investigates the Jameson family and there appears to be a group of people living at the edge of their estate. Is there one of them that could have done this? There are quite a few of twists and turns in this mystery. Once you think you have it figured out, you find you're wrong. This being the first book of a series will be just the beginning, there's more to come. Will the lost girls go missing forever and will there be more? Girls go missing everyday, never to be found. They are of the "lost girls". This story could very easily be about some girl you might know that has gone missing, a lost girl.
I received a copy of this book from the author and Night Owl Reviews and voluntarily decided to review it.
