MY THOUGHTS
DEATH IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER....
THERE'S DANGER AT EVERY TURN.....
Who would thinks just stopping for a bite to eat would end up with a stay in jail? Well, that's what happens in Oskin's town when you come riding in with a gun on your hip. Everyone who does, goes to jail. Oskin and Dannehar both know each other from being soldiers and then lawmen after. When in jail for the night, Dannehar escapes and when he flees with only his pistol, he is attacked by a couple of men who have rifles. Dannehar's odds are way against him. But Oskin got the adventure itch and went after him. He takes down the two men. Someone is trying to run all the Indians and everyone else in the town out. Why? Could it have something to do with oil that is on the Indian side of the river? Seems like someone wants that oil at any cost. Blood will be shed. The author gives plenty of action, suspense and gun fire. Dannehar and Oskin are riding together out of friendship, war, timing and a promise made during the war. In the process of seeing justice done, the two leave their lawmen ideas behind and know that their quick draw will be needed. There are enemies from the past and now new ones. Death will happen and blood will be shed all in the name of justice and survival. That's how it was back in the day. You had to be quick on the draw in order to live. For those of you who love the cowboys who are handsome in a rugged way, strong and tote those guns on their hips this book will entice you. Oh I almost forgot, when all is done, Dannehar goes to find a young widow he used to know. Is romance in the air? Read and see!
I was given a copy of this book from Pioneering Press and the author and voluntarily decided to review it.
