CeeCee James is a wife, mom of four kids and pet mom to two mini-dashchunds. She's always loved to read and always had her nose in a book-- getting her into trouble at school when she'd sneak it in her text books.

Writing has been a life long passion. Her first works were published in middle school and she won several short story and poetry competitions through out her life. She loves writing about love, humanity's struggles and the celebration of life. Sometimes there is beauty even in the chaos of a messy moment. For her, writing is about taking time to savor those moments.

If you're a lover of cozy mysteries this is a real treat.  I found it very fun to read and it is full of clues to help you solve the murder.  It is a clean read as most cozy books are.  No bad language, no off the wall sex scenes.   This is a book where you can concentrate on solving the murder.

Our sleuth, Elise, divorced, goes back to Angel Lake only to find her best friend, Lavina is one of the main suspects in a murder of the town's playboy, Cameron McMahon.  Why would Lavina be a suspect?  Could it have something to do with the fact that she is the heir to the playboy's fortune? Elise saw the accident when she was training for her first marathon.  A train hit a parked car, a car on the tracks.  What was that care doing on the tracks?  Perhaps it wasn't murder, maybe it was suicide.  The story has clues written in and often you can read right over them since the story is so entertaining.   Time and time again you'll think you have the murder solved but when you turn the page, the guilt seems to fall on another person.  The plot of the murder is well written with characters you can relate to.   I was surprised and rather pleased with the ending.  I was kept guessing through the whole book.  I really felt I had it figured out several times, but I was wrong.     I haven't read any other books by CeeCee James but I definitely will read another.  So grab a copy and see if you can figure out who murdered the playboy, or was it suicide?  A great book to cozy up on a cold night.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and Authors Cross Promotion and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
