BOOK DETAILS
(from Night Owl Reviews)
In the refreshing new Georgia Peach Mystery from the author of Peaches and Scream, an upcoming debutante ball turns into the pits when a juicy murder scandalizes a small town.

The annual Peach Cotillion, Cays Mill, Georgia’s biggest event, is fast approaching and Nola Mae Harper is just as excited as the rest of the town—even though she’s busy juggling both the cotillion dinner and the grand opening of her new shop, Peachy Keen. But she never expected that plans for the cotillion would end up in the pits because of the cutthroat competition between local debutantes.

When Vivien Crenshaw, insufferable church organist and despised mother of the town’s spoiled-rotten Peach Queen, is stabbed to death, the police turn to Nola’s friend Ginny as prime suspect. Apparently the two had fought over a one-of-a-kind cotillion gown. As Nola steps in to prove Ginny’s innocence she soon finds herself picking through a bushel of suspects, twice as many motives, and at the mercy of a killer all too keen on killing again.

 REVIEW
The Georgia Peach Mystery series has been really fun and enjoyable to read.   I found the Debutante rules at the beginning of each chapter to be funny and some witty. We once again get to go with Nola Mae Harper and her family on a Southern adventure.
The author wrote the characters and the scenes with vivid descriptions, so much so that you feel you are there.  Down South with all it's southern charm and that southern drawl that I just love.
Peachy Keen sells Harper Farm's peach products or will as soon as the shop is ready to open. Nola and Cade McKenna have found a place next to Red's Diner and are fixing it up. What would the South be without a Debutante Cotillion Ball? All the girls are excited about their dresses arriving until they discover they are a dress short.  The same dress had been ordered for the Peach Queen and Emily but only one dress was shipped.  Emily's mother, Ginny comes unglued when Vivien Crenshaw claims the dress for her daughter.  Ginny tells Vivien what she can do in no uncertain terms.
Was Ginny involved when Vivien is found dead the next day?  With a pair of scissors, no less. Since Ginny had been heard fighting with Vivien, the Local Sheriff brings Ginny in to question her.  She becomes the number one suspect.  Will Ginny's name be cleared or did she kill Vivien? This cozy mystery has a  web of deceit woven through the plot of what is happening in this little Georgia town.  WHAT IS HAPPENING? A great cozy mystery to help you forget the world for a while.  You'll get caught up in the drama, the characters, the murders and most of all REST IN PEACH throughout the whole book. Don't forget there are delicious recipes at the end.  What more could you want?

I received a complimentary copy of REST IN PEACH from the author, Susan Furlong and Night Owl Reviews in exchange for my unbiased view.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
