When your life is a lie, who can you trust?

When Maggie Taylor accepts a new job in Manchester, she is sure it is the right move for her family. The children have settled well although her husband, Duncan, doesn’t appear to be so convinced.
But nothing prepares her for the shock of coming home from work one night to find that Duncan has disappeared, leaving their young children alone. His phone is dead, and she has no idea where he has gone, or why. And then she discovers she’s not the only one looking for him.
When a woman who looks just like Maggie is brutally murdered and DCI Tom Douglas is brought in to investigate, Maggie realizes how little she knows about Duncan’s past. Is he the man she loves? Who is he running from?
She doesn’t have long to decide whether to trust him or betray him. Because one thing has been made clear to Maggie – another woman will die soon, and it might be her.

REVIEW
This is a suspense mystery thriller to beat all.  Once you open the book, THERE IS  NO PUTTING IT DOWN! It will, at times, have you on the edge of your seat.  If you read this at night, you might want to double lock your doors and pull your drapes.  It will make that pulse start going a little faster.
The plot is fast moving and every page holds something new.  Once you think you have it figured out somewhat, you turn the page and you're wrong. The past and present put together in separate stories.  You don't get lost wondering what happened 12 years ago. The author did a wonderful job of the description of her characters and their emotions.  You become part of the story.  You can't help but like some characters like Tom, Maggie, the kids and then dislike some, like the bad guys and Maggie's husband, Duncan. What would you do if one day your husband was just gone and you know not where?  Another woman?  Had Maggie been married and loved a man who wasn't who he seemed?
Then the ending comes and talk about a shocker.  It will make you read it twice to make sure you got it right. What does One of Three mean?  Could this be a terrible, horrible game that is still going after 12 years? Gather your conclusion as to what "Invictus" means?  Grab yourself a copy and lock those doors.  It could be you some day.
