REVIEW
Once you begin this book, it won't let you go.  As you turn the pages, you become more and more interested. The author, Mr. Aboulafia takes the reader on a ride that is terrifying, terrifying only in the mind. If you don't like suspense that messes with your mind, don't read this. The main character is Richard Goodman.  He takes care of an institution for disabled you.  They are trained in the art of watchmaking. Mr. Goodman isn't your normal person.  He has extra powers.  He doesn't quite understand them and doesn't know how to control them.
This isn't your normal suspense novel. It's unique.
The author isn't out to scare you. He's out to make a change in you. What would you do if you knew you would die in 3 days?  I would suggest you lock all doors and if you hear a strange sound, BEWARE! Something is going to happen like nothing ever before. Will reading this book change you?

I received a complimentary copy of VISIONS THROUGH A GLASS,DARKLY from the author, David I. Aboulafia in exchange for my unbiased review.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.

AUTHOR

David AboulafiaIt's been said that life requires the reconciliation of strict opposites.

In my first two books that's what you will see.

"Snapshots from my Uneventful Life" is a series of short comedic essays. It's a two-hour read designed for EVERYONE. It's irreverant, hysterical and uplifting. Everything in it is true. It contains no sex, no blood and guts, no religion, and no politics. And, it contains no four letter words.

How it will be able to garner anyone's attention, I do not know.

"Visions Through A Glass, Darkly" displays the contrary side of my personality. It is the result of a ten year effort. I have specifically tried to write something different. It is dark, terrifying and complex. By writing Visions I am also trying to tell you something, not just scare you.

This novel crosses several genres. Call it what you will; thriller, psychological horror, literary fiction or mystery-thriller.

I consider it a psychological horror novel, but it really doesn't fit into any format at all. There is little direct violence, and sometimes the story line will appear to be an excuse for the true horror going on in the main character's mind. The style - which is generally prose-like - can be unnerving all by itself. If you allow it to, it might change you.

I work as an attorney with a practice in New York City.
