Max Allan Collins is the author of Road to Perdition, the acclaimed graphic novel that inspired the movie, and of the multiple-award-winning Nathan Heller series of historical hardboiled mysteries, Max Allan Collins is one of most prolific and popular authors working in the field today.  He is also the literary executor of Mickey Spillane. 

REVIEW

This is Book Four of the Quarry novels. In 1977 it was printed as THE SLASHER. There was a decade before the fifth novel came out. These books are a series but are also stand alones. Quarry, a hit man or former hit man, who now wants payment for getting rid of some Assassins before they get a chance to do their deeds. Quarry isn't a good man and he is very dangerous. Somehow as you turn the pages, the author gets  you to actually like Quarry.  You become afraid he'll be killed.

 This book contains adult content.  It has a Porn Director in it and a lot of it takes place on a Porn Movie set. Very explicit murder scenes.  Just as you think you have some things figured out, you turn the page to find something you never even thought of.  I'm not a real fan of hard case crimes, but this was an entertaining read. This book is not for the faint of heart.
