REVIEW
Defense attorney, Samantha Brinkman is a hard working Los Angeles criminal defense attorney. She's working hard and struggling to get her practice up in the higher rank of actual paying clients. Then her chance comes, or so she thinks. A TV star and her room mate are murdered. What blows everybody away is the defendant is a decorated veteran LAPD cop. If she could handle this case, she would make a name for herself. Sam has two associates. One is a child hood friend and the other is an intelligent ex-con. Quite a team.
Sam isn't sure about the defendent. She catches him in several lies and has her doubts. Sam does as Sam does. She lives by her own rules, not anyone elses. She breaks everyone's rules and goes by hers. She and her associates are working long days and nights to find evidence that her detective is innocent. The bad thing is, more and more events keep adding to the mystery of who actually committed this crime. Who murdered the two girls? On top of all Sam is dealing with, a long kept private secret comes to life and it changes her personal life forever. What is that secret? Does it have anything to do with the defendant.?
This book was well written, very realistic and the reader felt they were there, following Sam and her associates as they go through battle to vindicate the defendant. Pick up a copy and you'll be glued to the book. Page after page of twists and turns that keep you guessing. Once you think you have it solved, the author throws in a STOP sign and you realize you're wrong. A suspenseful page turner that will have you on the edge of your chair.
