REVIEW
Christian G. Appy, author of the oral history of the Vietnam War Patriots is now examining the way the Vietnam War changed people and the nation as a whole.
The author goes through the war's realities and myths. It had such an impact on our overall identity, the way we feel and think, pride, shame, changes in our culture and foreign policy after the war.
The author did a lot of research from places such as novels, documents, movies, songs, the media and commentary.
Mr. Appy gives his interpretation of the war and what happens to the soldiers and civilians before, during and after the war.
AMERICAN RECKONING is at times controversial but is a combination of politics and culture. The author gives us a new different outlook of the Vietnam War.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in another view of the Vietnam War or just war stories and accounts in general.
I received a complimentary copy of AMERICAN RECKONING from the author, Christian G. Appy and Night Owl Reviews for my view of the book.
I would give this book 4 STARS.
