Amish bride-to-be Leona is thrilled to be in Florida, on a mini-vacation in the pretty town of Pinecraft. Her girlfriends think she’s happy because she’s away from the stress of wedding planning. They have no idea that Leona’s real joy is in being away from her fiancĂ©.
Edmund is a good man, and will make a decent husband . . . just not for Leona. The more time she spends with him and his overbearing ways, the less she wants to be his wife. Her cousins are sure Edmund is the right man for her-and their certainty makes Leona begin to doubt herself. But when a chance encounter with a wayward cat brings her face-to-face with a handsome, fun-loving Amish man named Zachary Kauffman, Leona’s faced with two vastly different futures.
REVIEW
This is the first volume in the New York Times bestselling author's new Amish Brides of Pinecraft series.
Having a short vacation in Florida, Amish Leona, bride to be is thrilled to be there. She is in Pinecraft, a pretty little town. Leona's real happiness is being away from her fiance while her friends think it's because of the stress of planning the wedding. Edmund is a good man but not for Leona. He is overbearing and the more time she's with him the less she wants to be. Everyone else thinks Edmund is the right man for Leona so Leona is beginning to doubt herself. Leona during an encounter due to a cat, comes face to face with a handsome Amish man, Zachary Kauffman. Now Leona has two totally different futures to decide upon. What choice will Leona make? Will she let her friends put pressure on her to wed Edmund? Was it really a chance encounter with the handsome Zachary? The author wrote a wonderful romance with placing the reader right next to Leona to decide what she will do. You feel that you are part of Pinecraft and Leona's vacation.
