School age children will love this cute, book about two fishcakes.  Their names were Charlie and Felicity.  Charlie loved to swim but he had a problem with his trunks.  They kept falling down.  He met Felicity one day and asked her to go on a boat ride.  She immediately said yes.  Then it became an adventure that they journeyed through rapid waters, quiet waters,  lots of different animals. They had a dangerous encounter with a crocodile.  Charlie takes on some elephants to save Felicity and right at that moment a bunch of hippos jump up and say Hi.  Then we have a slippery snake that has to stick his nose into it all.  Felicity had fun jumping up and down on mushrooms. That day was a wild and fun day .  At the end of the river was the end of the day.  It was a great day for both of them.  Charlie fell asleep in the boat on the way back.This is a wonderful children's book.  Not just for children but adults also.  The author used words that are easy for children to read and understand.  The pictures are so vibrant with color and are large so it attracts the child's attention. Mr. Driscoll wrote a wonderful, cute, fun children's book that lets the reader go on a journey with a boy fishcake and a girl fishcake, Charlie and Felicity. I think this book should be on every child's bookshelf to read and re-read.

AUTHOR
David Driscoll is director at Homestead PDS Ltd commercial painting contractors in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. "The locals say it's the oldest town in England." He writes and manufactures film scripts and supports local charities.  The author has written a body of work; this is his first published book.
