LOVE IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL by Larry DelFavero

LOVE IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL
by
Larry DelFavero

This is a short read but says so much.  What the story says is about something that most of us forget in our lives.  We forget to love those close to us.  Sometimes, even those close to us, may do something that hurts us, but what is there to gain with putting those that hurt us in our line of hate?  If you can forgive but you just can't let it go, then hate won't help.  What will, is to try to honestly forgive and put the past into the past.  Life is short.  Way too short for there to be so much meanness and dislike in our lives.  Love can give your heart and soul so much warmth.  You gain a calmness instead of the pain that you feel from hate.  I do believe that first you have to like someone, and that does include yourself.  If you don't like someone,  it makes it almost impossible to love someone.
In this modern, hectic, unforgiving world we live in, it becomes more and more difficult to get along and to find goodness in others.  Not everyone believes or even thinks the same about everyday life.  We all have our different ideas and opinions.  That doesn't mean we are wrong.  It just means we see things differently.
As the author wrote this amazing short story about love, I realized that just everyday living makes it hard to take the time to help others, to let others into our hearts and minds.  Everyone is taken up by the unhealthiness of the world we live in.  That unhealthiness is all of the hatred, dislike, inability to forgive and let go.  That everyday unhealthiness soon becomes so much of the person that there is little room for loving.  It doesn't have to be that way.  As the author writes, take the day and make it a new day, a fresh start and try to correct at least one bad attitude or at least work on that bad attitude.  If we don't clean up our own unhappiness, we won't ever be able to pass happiness on.  The author expressed so much goodness and insight of the way our world is and the way our world can be.  TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.  To live a happy life is to erase the evils in our lives and fill it with goodness.
Often people say they they love you.  Words are very easy to come by, especially if you're selfish and are out to gain something.   That's why you should learn to like a person first and let love come in it's own time.
I believe this short story should be read by everyone.  Even those who have trouble with the word love.  There's some hidden lessons that can be learned if we read this book and let it into our hearts.  I would hope this author would take this short story and expand it into the actual everyday living of some characters who have flaws and perhaps the lessons the author shows would help them.  Just a thought. Love doesn't always bring happiness, it can bring sadness.

Take time to read it,   You may find some answers, some joy, some healing as you read.

I received a copy of LOVE IS THE GREATEST GIFT OF ALL from the author, Larry DelFavero for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this manuscript 4 HEARTS.
