AUTHOR
Uncle Amos was born on 1950. He has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Business Administration. When he isn't writing, Amos works as an international real estate and investments broker. Uncle Amos started writing children's books at the request of his four grandsons, now aged nine, six, and three(Twins). His stories, which tackle the problems of growing up with humor and fun, are beloved of his family and hundreds of others.



REVIEW
This was a little book that helps to teach children to be more considerate of others.  It can be a nice bed time story for little ones. It has a wonderful and unusual dog that is named Rover who sometimes acts human.  Sometimes the dog would cook and would help the children.  Of course, the way Rover spoke was through wagging his tail and nudging the children.  The children thought this was great but momma didn't.  When the family leaves for vacation, Rover is left to walk the dog house.  Young children will love the story and finding out how Rover walks the dog house.  I believe the story would interest a child for a couple of times but I don't think after that a child would be interested inn reading the book. I didn't think that the children's mother being mean to Rover set a good example for children reading the book.  I believe this was a bad point in the book.  The lesson of learning to be more considerate is a very important lesson for children to learn but not using the mother as part of the example. I would recommend the book for any child around 3-6 years of age., with a little explanation from the parent. The illustrations were real cute and went right along with the story.
