REVIEW
The little girl in the story was a typical little girl. They say what they have on their minds. Anything and everything. The good thing about this in this situation is that she only tells mommy and daddy.
Elderly people as their bodies change, sometimes may have a different odor about therm. It doesn't mean they stink. But as this little girl thinks and feels is that GRANDMA STINKS. The little book is wonderfully written for children and care givers. It teaches a necessary lesson. That you learn and tolerate a certain amount of differences in the ones you love. You learn to by-pass them in other ways than to be hurtful. As you grow up, you learn more and more about the ones you love. It includes GRANDMA STINKS, although she doesn't. It is in the nose of the one who breathes the air but the lessons is to learn to be tolerant. I remember my grandma. She smelled differently and I found out early in my years that loving her was in spite of or because of, the way she smelled.
The book is simply charming and teaches a valuable lesson. I believe every young child should have this book on their shelve to read and re-read in order to encourage and show how important the love is, instead of the smell.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the author for my view. No other compensation took place.
I would give this book 4 STARS.
