REVIEW
This was a wonderful, interesting and educational trip to India.  Every child will be glued to each page with the wonderful illustrations and the story that is presented.  The book contains a lot of facts about India.  A popular building in India was described in detail.  The author also included facts about a popular celebrated holiday.
The book tells the customs and culture of India which lets a child see the difference beween India and where they live.  Some of the foods that are eaten and also children's games that are played are told about.  A child will, maybe without realizing it, learn a lot of what goes on in India.  Ms. Roman writes her books of this series in a realistic way.  They aren't childish, although they are written for children.  They are written in such a way that the child is learning as they are read to or reading themselves.  I, myself have enjoyed all of, If You Were Me and Lived In... books.  I've learned things that I didn't know.
The cover can be wiped off when the little ones fingerprints get on it, which is always a plus and it is of the size that little fingers can handle.  I can't give enough praise for these books.  I hope there are many more to come.

I was given a complimentary copy of IF YOU WERE ME AND LIVED IN...INDIA from the author, Carole P. Roman for my view of this book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book a SOLID 5 STARS.
