Tanner Burkhardt is the stoic Minister of Culture for the Grand Duchy of Hessenberg. When he is tasked to retrieve the long-lost princess, he must overcome his fear of failure in order to secure his nation’s future—and his own.
Yet lurking in the political shadows is a fierce opponent with sinister plans to abolish the throne forever. Regina (Reggie) Beswick, a little girl who enjoyed playing make believe, just like I did when I was little. She loved being a princess, but the make believe is going to turn into reality real soon. As an adult she is a Certified Public Accountant who went for a total career change of restoring old cars. She loved it. Then her destiny changed and her make believe as a child turned into real royalty. I can't imagine what that would be like. Royalty, a real princess. Just like a fairy tale story.
The author wrote some very vivid descriptions of the country of Hessenberg. She places you there, even though you are just a reader. You can see and feel everything that is going on as if you are there. The author's characters held on to their beliefs and loved God. I went along for the ride with all the twists and turns, a little lovin" (romance), the secrets, and Reggie's changes in her life.
I wonder what it would be like to be royalty and not know it until later on in your life? What was the secret that the family held? What about the attic? What's so mysterious up there? This book was so charming. It was nice to see Reggie in her Royalty. She always held on to her faith and her trust in God to help her through whatever was in store for her. Was she going to live the life of a Princess, or was she going to stay at what she loved doing, restoring cars? Is there love in store for her?
Sorry, but you will have to grab a copy and enter the life of Regina Beswick and follow her steps.
Perhaps you can stop in for Tea? I can't say anything else, except the book was such a joy to read.
The author wrote a lovely, clean book that let's you dream and sometimes those dreams become reality.
What do you think? Everyone should read this book and dream.
I would rate this book four FAIRY PRINCESSES.
I was given a complimentary copy of PRINCESS EVER AFTER by Rachel Hauck from Litfuse Publicity for my honest opinion. No other compensation took place.
