OVERVIEW
(from Goodreads)
Action, laughs, and thrills make Terror Cove an exciting second book in the Gravediggers series, which R.L Stine, author of Goosebumps, called "fast, frightening, and all too real!"

Newly crowned zombie slayers Ian, Kendra, and PJ are on a family vacation in the tropics when they are warned about a cursed island called Isla Hambrienta. What none of them expect to find is a zombie colony much stronger than the one they defeated on the mountain—and another presence on the island that's way more dangerous than the creatures they're supposed to turn to dust.

Fans of creepy books like Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carman will love Christopher Krovatin's wild stories about zombies and the kids who defeat them.

REVIEW
The setting for the book starts with 12 year old Zombie slayers Ian, Kendra and PJ.  We are no longer in the mountains of Montana but headed for Puerto Rico, hot and sweaty Puerto Rico. They are on a vacation from Zombie hunting. They hear about a cursed island, Isla Hambrienta. Why is this island cursed?  Well, it seems like some of the most dangerous Zombies colonies.  They were much worse than the ones the kids had defeated in Montana. The vacation comes to a quick halt when they find themselves stranded on the cursed island.  The meaning of the name of the island is "the hungry island". The Zombie slayers watched as the corpses came staggering out of the water.  The author  uses all three of the kids ideas and he even added a little puppy love in there.  The three are torn apart because of Kendra's crush on Danny. Will they defeat the Zombies?  Will they get off the island alive?  What will happen to their friendship?

The author wrote a good book for the young and those who like Zombies. This book is a little different from others I've read.  It's youngsters against the Zombies. For myself, I guess I'm getting a little tired of the same old Zombie stories. I'm looking forward to Mr. Krovatin's next book.  There will be one, won't there? Young ones will definitely love this book.  Zombies are the thing today.

I would give this book 3 SHOVELS.

I was given a complimentary copy of GRAVEDIGGERS:Terror Cove by Christopher Krovatin from Night Owl Reviews for my uncompensated view.

AUTHOR
Chris Krovatin here. I'm an author ('Heavy Metal & You', 'Venomous', and the 'Gravediggers' series), an actor, a metalhead, and a New Yorker. I'm also a journalist for multiple heavy metal press outfits, specifically Revolver Magazine, Invisible Oranges, and MetalSucks. I scream for a local New York doom-metal band named Flaming Tusk; call me Stolas Trephinator. My favorite musicians are Slayer and Frank Sinatra, and my favorite food is gnocchi (it's made of potatoes!). I currently live in Brooklyn, where my life is a haze of records, weird toys, craft beer, and beautiful women.
