DAUGHTER CELL was released in September, 2013 by Damnation Books. The story begins with leading researcher in genetics, Randolph Macklin. He wakes up and finds that he has lost 4 months of his life or should I say memory? When he wakes up in Malaysia his wife is dead and his daughter is in a coma. Psychiatrist Sanantha Mauwad is helping him to find out what has happened. They do find that no one are what they seem to be. This seems to be too much power and too much passion.

You will find that DAUGHTER CELL is a medical mystery. A thriller about loss and forgiveness, whereas, THE CHOSEN was about the occult, revenge and redemption.Once again the psychiatrist-detective is Sanantha Mauwad. She combines modern medicine and deep spirituality.

The author includes possibilities of cloning and acupuncture, cultural traits, religion, secrets, mind altering/memory loss. The author add one more thing, Silat black magic martial arts.

Two brilliant men have the same obsession with the same woman. This puts a black cloud over their efforts to bring her back from the dead. Lies and emotion destroy their lifelong friendship, their plans to revive the woman they love and sadly, innocent family members.

"Daughter cell" is the medical term of a cell reproducing, thus the new cell is a DAUGHTER CELL, thus the title. The plot evolves slowly, letting the reader take it all in. Mr. Hartlove makes his characters feel the pain. Do they come out better people because of it? or not? The author must have spent a great deal of time researching and molding this horror mystery. It's not just another medical mystery. This book will make you think, what if? Can a person be altered and still have their soul? You will have to grab a copy of DAUGHTER CELL by Jay Hartlove and see what you think. Could this really happen? Perhaps it could, but what kind of person would it be without a soul?

I would recommend this book to anyone. The author has written a remarkable and possible look into what might be in time.
