OVERVIEW
(from Goodreads)
Sixteen-year-old werewolf princess Ashling Boru is different from other wolves—she was able to shift to wolf form at birth. Rather than bringing pride to her family, it brings fear, and as a result, she is forced to live in seclusion in Ireland’s countryside. Ashling’s reputation is further blackened when she refuses her betrothed and defies the ancient laws. When her pack’s oldest rivals begin hunting her, she finds herself in the small town of York Harbor, Maine—far from everything she’s ever known.

In Maine, she crosses paths with the dark and rebellious Grey Donavan, and something ignites within her soul. There’s just one problem: Grey is human. Their instant connection turns into a passionate romance, and Ashling begins to believe she can create her own life outside of wolf laws. When she begins to uncover long-buried pack secrets—secrets that threaten to destroy all she holds dear—Ashling’s courage and tenacity are tested. Will she choose her deep and enduring love for Grey, or will she follow Old Mother’s path to her destiny?

REVIEW
Ashling is the main character of this story.  She was the chosen one who was born into a werewolf family. Ashling has to grow up very quickly.  She learns that the family bond is fierce and they will lay down their lives to protect her. All the characters in the book have to choose sides,  A wild and exciting adventure begins which you can't turn the pages fast enough. Every page draws you in deeper and deeper into the depths of the different packs. I've never been one to read a lot of paranormal  shapeshifting books, but I am so glad I read this one.  I couldn't put the book down.
The author, Ms. Whittet combines werewolves and bloodsuckers, family, love, suspense and  surprise.  One moment you are on one adventure and with the blink of an eyelid, we're off to another.  Ms. Whittet described the scenery so vividly that you can smell the air and feel the mist on your skin. Ashling and Grey immediately went into a whirl wind romance that definitely had their ups and downs.  This book was a definite page turner and a keeper.  The author wrote a story which is one of it's own.  It has set a new pace when it comes to shape shifters.  If you enjoyed this book, BLOODMARK by Aurora Whittet then look for the next book, BLOODREALMS. It came come out soon enough. What a fantastic book.  It will take something really out there to bypass BLOODMARK.  It is one of a kind.

I would give this book 5 WOLVES.

I was given a  complimentary copy of BLOODMARK by the author, Aurora Whittet for my unbiased view.
