Katie Rabar has always been known as "Emma Rabar's Daughter". Katie knows that she wants more, much more. Katie's maam has been asked several times for her hand in marriage. She always refuses. Her Daett died shortly after Katie was born. She misses her Daett. Things must have been very difficult for Katie and Emma.
Emma is trying to keep Katie from leaving. I feel Katie is confined. She is not allowed to run around and investigate the other world during rumspringa like the other young people. Katie is forced to realize that if she doesn't do something soon, she will be living with he maam for ever.
Should Katie just trust DaHah? Would life eventually be wonderbah?
What is going to happen to Katie and her maam? Will they both find what they're needing and looking for? Are they destined to live the bitter and unhappy life they are living now?
The author, Jerry Eicher wrote a great Amish book. You would like to step into their shoes and live their lieves. The author diod a wonmderful job of descriptive writing. The book is well written and edited. The only thing is, you don't want it to end. I simply loved it. Take this book and read it, every word and you'll find a peace come over you. Then wait for Book 2.
