Miriam Troyer has had a secret crush on Mark Byler since they were teenagers. She knows they can never have a relationship: Mark is a big-city attorney—an Englischer—and Miriam loves her quiet way of life in her Amish community. But when Mark unexpectedly shows up in Paradise, Pennsylvania, Miriam realizes it’s going to get a lot harder to hide her feelings.

Even though Mark always loved visiting his grandfather’s farm as a boy, he’s convinced the Amish life is not for him. But when he suddenly finds himself out of a job and without direction, Mark heads back to the farm just in time to help with the harvest. Coming for a visit and coming to stay, however, are two very different things.

Everything changes when Mark sees that Miriam, the girl he remembers from his youth, has grown into the kind of faith-filled woman he wants in his future. Could life in this simple world be right for Mark after all? Has Miriam finally found her happily ever after? True love sprouts from seeds of hope.

MY THOUGHTS
  I am a strong fan of Amish books.  They have lessons to learn, are interesting, clean and wholesome.  Two entirely different worlds. One of the Amish faith and one in the Englisch world.  Is there any way that two people from two different worlds can come together?  One thing may do just that, love.  But can this happen with Mark and Miriam?  Mark is from the Englisch world, an attorney and  Miriam is from the Amish world.   They both know each other but when Mark goes back to his grandfather's farm, Miriam and Mark connect again.  But the Amish and Englischers are not meant to be together.  IT's not in the cards.   Two worlds so far apart.  Busy big city and the quiet life of an Amish community. Mark is out of a job  and goes back only for a short visit to help with the harvesting but will love take that short visit into staying for good? Can Mark leave behind the bright lights of the big city for the quiet, simple life that Miriam lives?  There is always HOPE and the seeds are there. They just need to be tended to with loving care.  Is there true love in the future of Miriam and Mark?   My only fault with this book is that the pace is rather slow and it didn't flow as I had hoped.  I'm hoping that there will be another book about Mark and Miriam and how their lives go forward.
