MY THOUGHTS: First I want to say that there is some very graphic violence in the book.  March 1933 -  Ernst Rohm is torturing and killing Jews.  The Jewish community is turn has put in place a ban against buying German products.   Churchill and Abba Hillel Silver are in favor of this ban but they have opposition.  The U.S., a Palestine group and British government officials.  This can be a stand alone read but I would recommend reading the other books also.    I had a bit of trouble keeping up with the numerous amount of characters.  It took a while to keep everyone straight in my mind.   Hitler at this time was a chancellor but not in full control.  Putting the boycott in place was the attempt to oust Hitler.  There were parts that required a stretch of the imagination, but putting that aside, there was a good deal of action, some suspense.  The pace was a bit too fast for me.  I found that I was re-reading some parts just to keep things straight.  Some things I found were stretched a bit much was that the Guinness Book of World Records.  The timing of the events in this book took place long before the Guinness Book existed.  I believe another reviewer stated this.  There was a good deal of historical information in the book but on the other hand, there was quite some information that was very hard to believe.  Like I said, a stretch of the imagination.  We get a look at how the Jews, the U.S. and Franklin Deleanor Roosevelt became allies with  the Nazis.   Jews were being persecuted and yet they worked with the Nazis, but  this was done for an economical reasons. .  This was a hard time for everyone because of the depression and some decisions were hanging on keeping the economy from going deeper. The authors take us through several countries, unlikely governments and people working together that you wouldn't ever dream was even a consideration.  We also get romance, a wedding, suspense, kidnappings and more.  This would interest those who like historical reads, especially those of the WWII era,  with that suspenseful, thriller plot. I liked the part at the end of the book that put out what was historical and what was not.   Very interesting.

I received a copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 4  STARS.
