The death of Dylan’s parents leave his five younger brothers and the family dairy farm in his care. Neighbor Marissa, raised by an alcoholic father, seeks a way out. Desperate for help, Dylan offers her a live-in nanny/housekeeper position. She jumps at the opportunity. The chaotic household, full of love, feeds her maternal instincts. She falls for Dylan and the boys. When Dylan finds himself desiring Marissa, he pulls back. His heart has been broken in the past by women resistant to a large, ready-made family. But if she walks away, she’d not only break his heart but those of his brothers, too. Will Dylan ever believe in Marissa’s devotion to his family, risk his heart, and those of his brothers, for the woman he loves?  (from Night Owl Reviews)

About the Author

Valerie Clarizio lives in romantic Door County Wisconsin with her husband and two extremely spoiled cats. She loves to read, write, and spend time at her cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

She's lived her life surrounded by men, three brothers, a husband, and a male Siamese cat who required his own instruction manual. Keeping up with all the men in her life has turned her into an outdoors enthusiast, of which her favorite activity is hiking in national parks. While out on the trails, she has plenty of time to conjure up irresistible characters and unique story lines for her next romantic suspense or sweet contemporary romance novel.
MY THOUGHTS
With the death of Dylan's parents, a lot has been placed on his shoulders.  He has five younger brothers and a big dairy farm .  Dylan needs help badly so offers a job to a neighbor, Marissa.   Marissa has wanted a way out for some time since she has an alcoholic father.    She takes Dylan up on being a live in nanny/housekeeper.    She is thriving on doing this even though with six men to take care of, she has t hat motherly touch.    But being around Dylan everyday, she starts to fall for him.   Dylan finds himself attracted to Marissa too but has to back off.   His past with women has broken his heart before.    He knows his brothers have come to love her too and if she were to walk away for some reason, hearts would be broken.  The author definitely touches your heart with each character.     Dylan was so well written and described for his age of 24 and what he has on his shoulders.  How many 24 years olds could take on that responsibility?   He is real. He has fears, anxieties, emotions, everything that would go with a man his age.   He also  gets a little jealous when he sees other men looking in Marissa's direction.

I almost shed a tear when little Luke, the youngest of the boys, gets down on bended knee with his brother, Dylan in front of Marissa.  Marissa was the perfect woman that the author wrote for Dylan.  Patient.   You wanted so badly for Dylan to just take her in his arms and kiss her but he always seems to back out.  He had his fears.
The book will definitely warm your heart for all the Jacob boys and Marissa.  The author definitely wrote the characters well and they were indeed a good match for each other.   But can a woman, so young take on a ready made family and make it work, not only for them but for her.?  Will Dylan get over his fears of his past and make Marissa his? What will happen when it's time for Marissa to head to college.?  Will they work it out?  Or will Dylan keep the shield in place over his heart?  If you want to read this well written book with characters you will love than grab a copy and follow the Jacob boys and see if Marissa becomes one of the family for good.

I received a copy of this book from the author and Night Owl Reviews and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 5  STARS.
