MY THOUGHTS
This is a bit different than other books.  The author not only gives you the suspense, the dark eerie side but it's funny too.  The book will have you on the edge of your seat throughout.  You may find yourself looking over your shoulder at the least little sound and then smiling because you were such a scardy cat.   I couldn't help but smile at the clothes that moved, but there was no one wearing them.    Our dear Hailey, you gotta love her but she has a friend, the non human sort.  She always seemed to have good relationships with most everyone.   But then we get to the romance part, oh boy!  dysfunctional doesn't quite cover it.  It's dangerous when you have a man, Asher, who by the way is a hunk and has purple eyes, yes, purple eyes,  who loves Hailey and yet want to do her in at times.   I would suggest Hailey get far, far away from him.  I admit he's really weird but can be romantic too.   But Asher isn't the only jerk, there's Finn.  Thinks he's a woman's man and is also wanting to kill Hailey.   Men attracted to Hailey seem to have multiple problems.  Will Hailey end up with either of these men.  I personally hope not.  She seems that she doesn't really need a man in her life right now, especially these two.  Now we get to the point, why does Asher want to kill Hailey.   In order the release the trapped Envoys, the Aether has to be opened and that means a human must die.    Hailey had seen the Envoys years before when her parents died.   Now she sees them in her nightmares.  Hailey's life goes from bad to worse, her sister Holly goes missing.   The dark goes darker.   Secrets are being kept, is this for Hailey's good or not?    The author has done something which is rather unusual.  The main character is extremely unlikable which may make readers dislike the book from the beginning.  You also get the main woman who isn't that little, woe is me, what will I do character, which is refreshing for a change.  That took a little nerve, to step out on the unknown and hope for a success.  Bravo to the author.  This author stepped out on the limb and that limb didn't break.   The book came through and you not only get a paranormal world but characters that will fill you with all kinds of emotions.   If you love paranormal with everything that goes with it, just make sure you have enough time to devote to reading this because once you start you can't stop.

I received a copy of this book from the author and Night Owl Reviews and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
