The author puts the mind in the whatever happened mode. One day Hannah was just an ordinary young girl with so much happening around her. Then....
The author takes you into the world of Hannah Clark, not the ordinary girl, but the vampire. In five months, she went from ordinary to bitten. She has no idea how this happened or how she ended up in the woods. Now, everything that was familiar and safe to her, wasn't any more.
The author takes you through her new start in a new town, trying to finish high school, with a new boy, Jackson. The author gives you what you think is a young budding romance. But this was far from normal. They immediately knew there was something between them, something stirred them and what was that something? Was it love, lust or a craving? A craving for BLOOD? Was this a mutual craving between the two, or was it just one of them?
Hannah was trying very hard to protect Jackson from Lucas. Lucas was Hannah's maker, and he wasn't just a vampire, he was pure dangerous. Hannah is torn between her desire and need of BLOOD and her protective side of Jackson.
Then the author throws in a mystery. Vampires are disappearing and Hannah may be next. So she has to work with her maker to solve this mystery. Now Hannah has to decide who she can trust, Jackson, Lucas, or both. Maybe neither one.
