MY THOUGHTS
Our Solar System and Outer Space is such a fascinating and wide area for exploration.
Children of all ages are full of questions about the vast system of planets, of what's out there and can we get to it? Every child should be encouraged to ask those questions since that is how they learn. This is what Emily does in this book. She asks questions and she finds out about what astronauts do and about the different planets such as the Moon and the Milky Way. The author gives a lot of information about the planets. We all remember how we thought the moon was actually a big hunk of cheese. Well Emily discovers it isn't.
Emily gets to go to Cape Canaveral and see a space launch. As she learns more, she decides she wants to eventually go to astronaut training and travel into space.
Every child should be encouraged to follow their dreams and learn, learn and then learn some more. Learning can be fun as the author shows in this book. Emily has a dream and she will succeed. It takes encouragement and listening. The most important things you can do to help your child grow. The book is full of colorful and interesting illustrations to go with the story.
We need so many more of these kind of books for children.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, Colette Omans Nicoletta in exchange for my unbiased and honest review.
I would give this book 5 STARS.
