THROW AWAY GIRLS
The Jaycee Wilder Series
 Book One

BOOK DETAILS
(from Amazon)
Hard-charging, insightful, and ambitious, Jaycee Wilder wants to take her TV news career to the next level. The Los Angeles reporter is hungry for the big story. When dead girls begin to pile up at seedy nightclubs that cater to whimsical, fetish-seeking strangers, Jaycee suspects a serial killer is at work. She aligns herself with an east coast cop trying to resurrect himself- and his once stellar career- from a drunken skid. The killer lives a normal life during the day, while hunting the Throw Away Girls at night, punishing them for their dark urges. He leaves messages behind in his victims' blood, his explanation for enacting such brutal, twisted justice upon the unworthy. He watches the media coverage. He knows the wily reporter is chasing him. As Jaycee follows her gut, and the evidence, she forces him to act. But when a killer is clever and cunning, he can infiltrate anywhere. Jaycee must utilize all her skills to expose him before he gets to her first.

Author
Jennifer VaughnPassed through New Hampshire lately? If so, we're already old friends. I've had the honor of anchoring the news at WMUR-TV, since 1997, earning several Emmy nominations, the Red Cross Sword of Hope Award, and contributing to coverage that has been recognized with an Edward R. Murrow Award, Associated Press honors, and multiple NH Association of Broadcasters commendations. As part of our extensive presidential primary coverage, I've had roles in internationally televised presidential debates alongside CNN, ABC News, and Fox News, and have conducted one-on-one interviews with sitting presidents of the United States of America, and every presidential candidate who crosses the NH border. I've ventured to Houston, Texas, to interview President George H.W. Bush, and his wife, Barbara, and been dispatched to Arizona, to cover the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXll. When ABC's Extreme Home Makeover rolled into New Hampshire, I was there live when a local family saw their new home for the first time. Nearly two decades on the anchor desk, and there have been so many unforgettable images of both tragedy and triumph, catastrophic events and acts of heroism. It has been a journey, and a privilege.

I released my debut novel, Last Flight Out, in 2011. A mix of family crisis and politics, all proceeds from this book were directed to New Hampshire breast cancer charities. Thank you to everyone who supported this critical cause. My second novel, Throw Away Girls, is coming in July of 2016! Readers will meet LA reporter Jaycee Wilder, as she goes deep into the Los Angeles nightclub scene to snuff out a serial killer. Expect to see more of Jaycee in future releases. And stand by for Echo Valley, a story that blends small town New Hampshire with the intensity and scandal of a presidential campaign.

My most important job of all: mom. Alongside my husband, Brad Dupuis, I'm joyfully raising two great kids, and our cocker spaniel, Fletcher, who are the heart and soul of my entire life. Brody and Darby fill us with pride and hope for a future full of promise and love. My best accomplishments, by far.
REVIEW
Get ready to go on a ride you will never forget.  Jaycee (Jaycee Wilder)  a no non-sense reporter who goes the extra mile to get the story, is about to find out more than she wants or expects.  She is passionate, dedicated,  and looking for that one of a lifetime story.  Murders start happening one right after another,  all females,  all happening in the seedy back alleys that take you to un-named nightclubs.  Nightclubs  frequented by those who lead a second lifestyle when the lights go out.   The killer, serial killer?, has a childhood past that has haunted him for years and now, he is in charge of making these girls pay.  Why not?  They're just Throw Away Girls!  What happened to this person in his childhood that sent him down this dreadful, hateful road?    Jaycee starts getting closer and closer but she just can't get there.  She goes into the dark, sadistic, world of these girls who are looking for something they can't find during their everyday lives. These clubs are for rough sex.  These deaths aren't just about the roughness getting out of hand.  There is a person out there that gets off on making these Throw Away Girls --------BLEED! These aren't girls who are prostitutes or drug addicts.  Some have professions such as school teachers. These are girls who have families who love them, friends and stand up occupations, but have no idea their loved one is living a hidden life.   Will Jaycee go too far, even though she isn't a Throw Away Girl?  Jaycee has a photographer that goes with her and will begin her bodyguard.  Ben Roderick.  She feels Ben is her confidante. He is gay and she talks to him about things she keeps private from others.   Does Jaycee really know Ben?  You'll be shocked when you find out about Ben.  Then there is Van, Jaycee's boyfriend, who lives with her.
The author has given readers a look into a hidden, dark world that isn't  your everyday mystery read.  This book goes way beyond that.  It will take your breathe away. It will still your heart and it will bring out emotions you never thought you would have from reading a book.

WILL JAYCEE BECOME
A THROW AWAY GIRL?
