Wedding season has arrived in New York Times bestselling author Mary Alice Monroe’s next novel in the “distinct, complex, and endearing” (Charleston Magazine) Lowcountry Summer series, set against the romantic, charming Charleston Lowcountry. Nothing could be more enchanting than a summer wedding—or two!—in Charleston’s fabled lowcountry. A centuries-old plantation, an avenue of ancient oaks dripping moss, a storied ballroom, a sand dune at sunset… Yet when a stranger arrives, a long held family secret could silence the bells ringing for the Muir sisters. Scandals surface, family bonds are questioned, and promises are broken and renewed. In A Lowcountry Wedding Monroe delves into the heart of marriage, commitment, and family ties. Huffington Post calls the Lowcountry Summer series “the perfect beach read and a whole lot more.”

review
First off, I would suggest you read these books in order.  I was a bit lost because I didn't do this. Wish I had.   This is the fourth book in the series.  This book is a summary of the three books and the happy things that happened after the trilogy.  Mamaw, Carson, Eudora and Harper who you get to know oh, so well, in the trilogy that they have become your friends.  They exist in your mind and you always want to know what is going on. In this fourth book, the author gives us new substance to the book.  We get the chance of getting to know more about our Muir women, their feelings and their trials and happiness.  Somehow the reader gets to relate more and more with their lives.
We get to be in on the planning of the wedding and all the decisions that need to be made. As the pages are turned, you are forever surprised with the added icing the author adds. I liked this book, but it does hit the heart, will make the emotions arise.

I received this complimentary copy of A LOW COUNTRY WEDDING from the author and Night Owl Reviews in exchange for my unbiased review.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
