REVIEW
Yet another country to explore and learn about the ancient practices of Greece. What a fun and exciting way for your child and you to learn about Ancient Greece. The words are written in an easy to understand way.The names of the ancient gods and goddesses are put into a pronunciation form in parenthesis. Then the description of them is written. To start with there is a picture of what Greece looks like today and then a picture of what it looked like in 350 B.C. It's a way for you and your child to compare the differences of the two. Tells of what was eaten, what the homes were like, what it took to get money. Ms. Roman helps the reader experience the sights, sounds and smells of what it was like in ancient Greece. What a fun and interesting way to learn about ancient times. The book isn't bogged down with a lot of words. Just simple words to tell the tale. The illustrator did a wonderful job of adding pictures along with the story. Also at the back is a glossary of frequently used words that have the definition with them. Another wonderful adventure into another land.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. No other compensation took place.
I would give this book 5 STARS.
