Romantic Suspense to Keep Readers Guessing Until the Last Page Sophie Wittenbauer left her strict Mennonite hometown under a cloud of shame and regret. After a rough childhood, her teenage poor choices harmed others, leaving her with no choice but to change her life. Her entry-level writing job at a newspaper puts her in the right place at the right time to overhear office gossip about a prisoner who has information on a decades-old unsolved crime. While the other reporters write off the tip as the ravings of an angry criminal, Sophie can't ignore it because she knows the name of this prisoner from her old life. Upon learning from the man that one of the other suspects is hiding out in the Missouri town of Sanctuary, she takes on a false identity to investigate and meets the young pastor of a local church--the very man she'd loved as a troubled teenager. As she gets closer to finding the suspect, will the truth of her own past come out before she discovers the identity of the criminal--or the very person she's seeking puts a fatal stop to her investigation?

REVIEW

This is book 3 of 3 in the series "Finding Sanctuary". I haven't read the first two books and I would recommend doing that just to give you some background into what is going on.  The books are stand alone but would be more interesting if read in series.  These books include some mystery, suspense and of course, a little romance. The book is thought provoking. It's a learning lesson on putting the past in the past. We must learn to turn to God and place our future in His hands.  It's very hard but if you just believe you can do it.  He has a plan for all of us. This story is about leaving Sophie Wittenbauer's Mennonite home.  She's tried to leave the shame and the regret behind her and start anew.  What did Sophie do?  While working at a newspaper she comes across a name that she remembers from her past. She's discovered a suspect of an old unsolved crime is hiding out in Sanctuary, Missouri.Sanctuary seems so peaceful and free of trouble, but is it? The author describes the characters so that you feel you are a part of their lives. She starts a little detective work in hopes of furthering her career. Will she be able to keep her past in the past and find this suspect before something else happens.? Will she turn to God for a guiding hand?  Could she be in danger?  Grab a copy and follow the mystery and suspense as you turn each page.  Each page contains more and more twists and turns.   See if you can figure it out? Once you start reading the book, you are on the edge of your chair and turning the pages quickly to find out what is going to happen next,

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, Nancy Mehl and NightOwl Reviews for my unbiased view of the book. No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
