REVIEW
On his way home, Will Rees was on his way home. Twig, his friend asks for help with a murder investigation. Rees just wanted to go home to his wife, Lydia, He didn't quite understand how he became involved in this investigation. Maybe Lydia would come and help? For the plot of the book, the time period is very suitable, but I sure am glad I didn't live back then. Women were second class citizens, not allowed to get an education, couldn't read, no phones, and travel was by horse and buggy. Men did things like being a sailor or a merchant. Jacob Boothe was a wealthy merchant and it wasn't a good thing for him. Maybe his money is what got him murdered. It wasn't who the murderer of one person, but now it was three. Will this put Will in danger.? After you read a few pages you become a part of the story. The author put in some wonderful characters and fit them in perfectly for the time period. Ms. Kuhns will keep you guessing until the end. I would recommend this well written, mystery murder, historical fiction story to anyone. Get a copy and go on this journey to figure out who the murderer was. If you can?
I was given a complimentary copy of DEATH IN SALEM from te author, Eleanor Kuhns and NightOwl Reviews for my view of the book.
I would give this book 4 STARS.
