A FLAG FOR THE FLYING DRAGON
A Captain No Beard Story

Bonnie Lemaire

It's business as usual on the Flying Dragon. Their mission is to find a flag for the ship. Captain No Beard sighs, "Being a captain is hard work," as he watches the busy crew preparing the vessel for their next adventure. Polly is giving out pretzels; Linus is polishing a lamp. Mattie is cracking coconuts, Cayla is stuffing holes, and Hallie is swabbing the deck. High overhead, trouble is brewing, and it is not the weather. Mongo does not want any help from the newest crew member, and it is creating a hurricane of a mess on board. The team must come together and find a task that will fit Zachary without interfering with their own fun. On the way, they acquire a flag that will unite them as both friends and crew. Join the problem-solving crew of the Flying Dragon as they find a flag for their ship and a job for Zach.

REVIEW     Green Dragon Clip Art
Ms. Carole Roman has written another wonderful children's storybook.  This is a book that can be read to the little ones, the little ones can read it to themselves or out loud.  Mommies and Daddies and Nanas and Papas will enjoy the book as much as the children will. Ms. Roman's books always writes books that attract children's attention right up to the last page. On one side of the page the writing is done in black and very easy to read. On the other side the illustrations are done in bright and eye catching colors.  The book is actually written for children 3-8 and grades, preschool-second grade.
The Flying Dragon's crew are all working to get ready for it's next journey. The members of the original group are  helping, that is, until Mongo, the monkey and newbie baby Zachary get upset with each other.  No one wants Zachary's help since being so young, he can't even talk yet.  The Captain gives him a new name --Swabbie--.
Ms. Roman is a fantastic children's writer.  These books that she writes are great books to put on the shelf to be read and re-read again.   They would also make wonderful gifts.  The reader is never disappointed when a new book comes out by the talented author, Carole P. Roman.

I was given a complimentary copy of A FLAG FOR THE FLYING DRAGON from the author, Carole P. Roman for my view of the book.

I would give this book 5 DRAGONS
