D.G. Foster was born and raised in Durango, and Silverton, Colorado. He and his father spent their vacation days and weekends working cattle on BLM land and in the mountain ranges of southwestern Colorado and northwestern New Mexico. Mr. Foster currently lives in Seminole, Texas where he works in the oilfields of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, and is still a part-time cowboy though maybe only at heart.
review
At times this book is downright hilarious. A true cowboy's living some of the wrecks that happen while working cattle in Colorado and New Mexico. Every reader form city slickers to true cowboys will love the stories and the humor of what happens to these part-time cowboys. These part-time cowboys have full time jobs but help out their neighbors and friends when they can. As the reader will find out, cowboying isn't as glamorous as it seems, like in the movies. The author wrote the very un-Hollywood side of being a cowboy. The reader will find it amusing when it comes to the wrecks and mishaps that these part-time cowboys encounter. Not funny at the time, but later they become hilarious. Every cowboy will be able to relate to the wrecks and mishaps that these part-time cowboys face. The reader and other cowboys can probably relate to this true story of woe, humor, wrecks, mishaps and being comrades that they face.
I was given a complimentary copy of PART-TIME COWBOYS, FULL TIME LAUGHS from the author, D.G. Foster for my view of the book.
I would give this book 5 COWBOYS.
