 REVIEW
The story is very short.  Ms. Haven puts a lot in a little space.  The beginning is with Jenny and her friends playing on the playground. Azula, Jenny's guardian came to get her and Jenny follows her with her puppies to a building.  A strange question was asked by Jenny.  She asked if she were going where all the other little children go? She was asked what her last memory was and she said "Mama cried."  I wasn't sure what to think.  Did her mother die?  Was she, perhaps dreaming?  I believe I will leave that up to anyone reading the book.  I can't give that part away.  As she goes into the building she is told she will have to make a decision.  She knows her puppies will be full grown.  What is her decision? Is this heart breaking? or is Jenny the one who has to make this decision.  The author put so much emotion into this book that one minute you were smiling and next a damp cheek.  The ending is absolutely amazing.  Let go and think as you read.  This author wrote an amazing book that is heart warming, and heart breaking at the same time. I hope to see more from this author.

I was given a complimentary copy  of MAMA CRIED from the author, Talia Haven for my view of the book.

I would give this book 4 STARS.
