Life in Icicle Falls

Pump Up Your Book Presents The Tea Shop on Lavender Lane Book Publicity Tour
SUMMARY
After a fake food poisoning incident in L.A., Bailey Sterling’s dreams of becoming a caterer to the stars collapse faster than a soufflĂ©. Now Bailey’s face is in all the gossip rags and her business is in ruins. But the Sterling women close ranks and bring her back to Icicle Falls, where she’ll stay with her sister Cecily.
All goes well between the sisters until Bailey comes up with a new business idea—a tea shop on a charming street called Lavender Lane. She’s going into partnership with Todd Black, who—it turns out—is the man Cecily’s started dating. It looks to Cecily as if there’s more than tea brewing in that cute little shop. And she’s not pleased.
Wait! Isn’t Cecily seeing Luke Goodman? He’s a widower with an adorable little girl, and yes, Cecily does care about him. But Todd’s the one who sends her zing-o-meter off the charts. So now what? Should you have to choose between your sister and the man you love (or think you love)?

REVIEW
Ms. Roberts  wrote a wonderful, inspirational and humorous read. She makes her characters interesting and friendly. When a fake food poisoning happens in L.A., Bailey Sterling had had a dream of becoming a caterer.  That dream fell though.   She lost her business. All her sisters banded around her and took her back to Icicle Falls,  She stays with her sister, Cecily.  This makes the story so warming.  Family helping family.  It's so nice to think that that is the way it should be, but in these times, it isn't always so.  But the author shows how it can and should be.  When Bailey came up with a new idea, a tea shop on charming Lavender Lane.  Cecily's boyfriend is going to go into business with  Bailey.  Well Cecily thinks there's more than tea being poured on Lavender Lane.   She's not happy.  I liked this part because it shows true life of how we all jump to conclusions.  Instead of talking about it, we speculate.  And we always speculate to the bad side of things.     But does Cecily have something going on herself?  Isn't she seeing a widower that has a little girl?    Does Cecily care for Luke or is  Todd the one who makes her heart go  ker-plunk, ker-plunk?  Will she have to choose between her sister and the man she thinks she loves?  The author wrote a very loving story about family, the good and the upsets.  The story will definitely warm your heart and you'll find a little humor here and there.  A very nice, soft, warming read.  We need more of these kind of books.

I was given a complimentary copy of THE TEA SHOP on LAVENDER LANE from the author, Sheila Roberts and PumpUpYourBook for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 4 FLOWERS.
