 REVIEW
Carole P. Roman has a new character which she introduces to the reader. A goat, whose name is Matie, who is aboard the flying ship which is all in the imagination.  There is trouble on the ship since half the crew is mistreating the goat. Captain No Beard explains to the crew that hurting one another is not way to act.  He shows them how they each have their own special things about them.  Everyone is special in their own way. These days bullying is being recognized more and more.  Bullying is a very hurtful thing.  It can be a very dangerous thing.  I believe more and more people are working at ways to communicate this.  People trying to solve the problem, that bullying isn't the answer, it's just an addition to a problem.  Bullying is a hard subject to take on and I believe Ms. Roman did a marvelous job of creating a children's book to help young ones understand about bullying. The book is about how every person has good things about them and they have some things that are not so good. That doesn't make us a bad person.  It just means we all have differences.  That's what makes us an individual. Every person has something that they can help someone else with or contribute to make the world a better place.

The illustrations in the book are charming and they help to convey the message.  This is a great book to be read by anyone.  It doesn't have to be a child.  We all have a bit of child like qualities in us.  Don't miss out on these book from Carole P. Roman.  They are wonderful books with charming illustrations and a lesson to be learned in each one.  So get these book for your favorite child or children and keep them on their bookshelf for reading and re-reading.  They are wonderful. A couple other nice features is that the cover can be wiped off from those sticky little fingers and the size of the words is big enough for little readers.

I was given a complimentary copy of THE CREW GOES COCONUTS! from the author, Carole P. Roman for my view of the book.  No other compensation took place.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
