OVERVIEW
(from Goodreads)
Twin sisters Allie and Zen have always shared everything: including an unconventional upbringing at Pagan Spirits Farms. They even fall in love at the same time. Pagan priestess Allie thinks she’s met the man of her dreams in her buttoned-down lawyer fiancĂ©, Paul Phillip. But is he everything he seems?
Zen, a witch gifted with the sixth sense, falls for Orlando. But there’s a catch: Orlando is married to someone else. As the celebration of Beltane nears, the sisters seem destined to be unlucky in love. But the Goddess moves in mysterious ways, and May Day may turn out to be magic for them after all.
REVIEW
This book is an introduction to the celebration of Beltane in the Midwest. This is a sexy, erotic read with a twist.
Beltane is a traditional pagan fertility festival.
Allie and Zen are twins and know each other very well. Zen is a witch and Allie is a pagan priestess. Zen has doubts when Allie marries. Then Zen meets a sexy man who immediately falls for her. The only thing is, a wedding ring on his finger. Should she listen to her inner instincts that this isn't meant to be. The Goddess says do no harm and breaking up a marriage is wrong. Will Zen go against her instincts? Everything comes to be during Beltane.
Ms. O'Riordan has done a lot of research on Paganism and Witchcraft, which is evident in her writing. She wrote a definitely hot, erotic romance. The author made the characters very interesting without letting it appear evil or odd. The author put the reader in a love or hate position. You either loved the characters or you didn't. To me that is the sign of a good book. The characters are real, even though it is a fiction read. Are you not supposed to love or hate the characters?
The author wrote so you can follow the characters. Their relationship, the good and bad and of course the hot sex. Ms. O'Riordan wrote this book in a tasteful way, not obscene. It is definitely a wild and different kind of ride. Beltane put everything right.
I am quite interested in the pagan ways. I absolutely love anything to do with Paganism and Witchcraft. I'm not obsessed with it, but quite interested. I have read Ms. O'Riordan's books before and they are all good reads.
If you are interested in a sexy, erotic read with a twist of Paganism and Witchcraft then I would recommend this book to you. It's a Keeper.
I would give this book 4 FLAMING HEARTS.
I was given a complimentary copy of BELTANE from the authors Erin O'Riordan and Tit Elington for my honest opinion. No other compensation took place.
