LARKSPUR ROAD by Jill Gregory
A Lonesome Way Novel-
New York Times bestselling author
This book is by Jill Gregory, who faces head-on a love from her past and searches for healing.
In Lonesome Way, Montana, Mia Quinn was expecting a peaceful summer. She planned on doing a little sewing for the quilting group as a fundraiser. Normally she was a Fifth grade teacher, but was on summer break and had high hopes of enjoying it. She also had a rescued dog named Samson. Just as she had started to relax and put her plans in motion, who walks back in her life? Travis Tanner, her high school sweetheart, who took the sweet out of the heart. He now has a ten year old adopted step son.
Travis isn't the boy Mia once knew, He is now a former FBI agent and six feet of pure male muscle. All he has to do is look at Mia and she loses complete thought control. Mia discovers that the fire is still there, maybe more sothan ever. Between danger and secrets, can Travis and Mia make a go of it the second time around?
This is the second book in the series, Lonesome Way. A story of love that was set aside for many years only to come back into the life of Travis and Mia. It'a about a son's adoptive father, that hasn't been in his life for quite awhile but steps up when he's needed most. Sisters that had been torn apart in times past, but Mia decides she wants to know her Aunt Winona. The elderly lady isn't very fond of the idea. The story shows that love can withstand time. Even when we think all love is lost, it can be just around the corner waiting for us to renew it.
Love can be just as strong for a child that isn't biologically yours. Love is love and if it is true, no obstacle can stop
it. It may take time, but true love will prevail.
I found this book more captivating than the first. You may want to be prepared for tears because you will most likely shed some.If you enjoy Jill Gregory's books, you will enjoy this one.
