Bestselling crime writer Gino Costello is working on his next book in a historic farmhouse in the heart of Massachusetts. His story features some paranormal elements so he’s invited family friend Emma to provide her input as a medium. But as soon as Emma arrives—with her fiancé, Phil, and Granny Apples in tow—that’s when the real trouble begins. Emma is immediately contacted by the Browns, a family of ghosts who originally owned the house in the early nineteenth century. MY THOUGHTS
Setting: Massachusetts
This is the sixth book in the Granny Apples Mystery Series
As Gino Costello works in a historic farmhouse writing his next book he thinks about a medium the family knows, Emma.  The book he's writing is about the paranormal. So Emma, Phil (her fiance) and Granny Apples come for a visit. They soon find out this will be a working visit, not a relaxing visit. They are surprised by what they see when they arrive at the farmhouse. The porch is full of ghosts.  But it's what comes with them that is the problem. He has no idea what is in store for them.  Possible murder?  Now this farmhouse was previously occupied by a family of ghosts, the Brown family.  That was back in the nineteenth century.   When they lived in the house, their two children disappeared and were never found.  Now the ghosts are talking to Emma.   The author gives you a refreshing read that is a cozy mystery that has some unhappy moments but there is lots of fun and characters that you will love.  Granny Apples is the best of all.  She is hysterically funny.  The author connects the characters with the paranormal theme.  You can't get away from the question, what happened to the two children?  Can Emma and Granny Apples solve this mystery?  The author always takes you to a new location in her books and that keeps the interest alive. It's a fun read that keeps you questioning and guessing throughout the book.  I found it took a little while to really get into the book, but as you read and read, you get more involved in the missing children.   There is also much more going on in this farmhouse, people go missing, books are being plagiarized, dead bodies, and ghosts, so many ghosts.  I loved it, especially witty, funny Granny Apples.   The author gives you crimes to be solved. Can you help Emma and Granny Apples solve them?   Grab a copy and find out for yourself.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and Night Owl Reviews and  voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 5 STARS.
