MY THOUGHTS
How the hell did she get into this mess?
The day you get married should be the happiest day of your life but Shiki isn't happy.  She's getting married today and executed tomorrow.
She must find a way to escape and survive.  The one way she knows of is, destroy the demons that are about the kill everyone in a little town of humans.    She wasn't liked by her own kind and the humans dont' like her either.
So she has a dilemma.   Humans and demons both want her dead.

The author gives you a character that should be happy but isn't.  You get a little bit of romance along with a lot of danger.  The author gives you demons , of course, demons are all over and then you have the humans. They should be thankful that Shiki is trying to help them but they aren't.  They want her dead too.   She's facing everyone who's against her and all she is trying to do is help them.  Shiki is a strong willed but when the odds are against you, can you win?

Will Shiki survive or will the demons or the humans kill her?   What about the marriage?   How come her husband isn't helping her?   Is he just going to let her die?

This story is short but it keeps you going until the end and the ending may be a surprise.  So if you're looking for a short read to fill in a gap, grab a copy and read it. It may strike your fancy.   Demons, humans and SHIKI!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and voluntarily decided to review it.

I would give this book 3 STARS.
